This Oscars show was one of the best I have ever seen. The old Hollywood feel was classic and well appreciated. 

The French stole the show with a number of wins for The Artist including best male actor with Jean Dujardin, and went on to win best film. 

Though i love Meryl Streep to death, it pains to me to say that I believe Rooney Mara deserved that Oscar tonight. No chance for the rookies, alas.

This is my inner fandom coming out but after ten years Harry Potter still did not win an Oscar. Stab to my heart. But not as bad as when they failed to win anything for Prisoner of Azkaban.

But after the awards, I must say I desperately need to see The Artist but also A Separation. I do love foreign films.
